Nai Disha
Nai Disha is a non-profit organization with a focus on community development through education. It operates with the basic principle that all children should have a quality education and equal opportunities irrespective of their birth or socio-economic background. Their 250 children are provided with free education, books, stationary, uniforms and a daily wholesome meal. SARSA was honored with the opportunity to volunteer at Nai Disha from December 20th - 24th this year.
Sadhana Village
At the turn of the new decade, SARSA initiated its first sponsorship of three students through Sadhana Village's Child Sponsorship Program. Under the CSP, sponsored students receive services such as monitoring of the child's health and educational progress, remedial measures, clothing and equipment, and access to after-school activities.
For only Rs. 4,800, approximately $100, a child can be sponsored for a full year! SARSA adds value to Sadhana Village's work by creating mentorship ties between the students and SARSA donors in the United States. We are proud to announce that SARSA is sponsoring Akash, Komal, and Shilpa on their educational journey.
